Terms of Service:

1. This service is 100% free for users, but there are costs I'm paying out of my own pocket. Hosting fees are ~$13/month and each text message costs 1-3 cents. If you would like to help offset these costs, feel free to donate to either my PayPal or Venmo account (@WilliamCollicott for both).


2. When you opt in for this service, you will receive either email or text message notifications when any player involved with the teams you selected commits to playing at the team in the future, departs the team for a professional opportunity, enters the transfer portal, or transfers to another NCAA men's D1 hockey team through the transfer portal. You will also receive a confirmation notification when you sign up, change your team selections, or opt out entirely.


3. This website is a news aggregator for college hockey fans who want prompt notifications about player movements. It monitors several hockey databases and transfer portal spreadsheets to find player movement information. Since the information is gathered in an automated fashion, there's a chance you may receive duplicate information, an incorrectly formatted notification, or miss out on a player's movement. We do our best to prevent these things from happening.


4. You may change your team selections or opt out entirely at any time. To do this, click the edit link provided to you in your initial confirmation notification, or any subsequent one. On the edit page, check/uncheck the boxes of the teams you want/don't want. To opt-out enirely, un-check all of the boxes. Then, click "Submit" (you may be asked to complete a reCAPTCHA). To opt back in after opting out, visit the homepage and re-submit.


5. The frequency of notifications depends on the teams you selected and the time of year. The months of March, April, and May will be more active due to players entering/leaving the transfer portal and signing professional contracts. During this period, expect to receive 5-15 notifications per team, per month. During the regular season (October-February) and Summer/early Fall (June-September), expect to receive 2-3 notifications per team, per month.


6. If you are experiencing issues with the notifications or any part of the website, please send an email to admin@collegehockeytransfers.com with a detailed description of the problem you are encountering.


7. For users who selected text messages as their preferred method of notification:
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us.
• If you have any questions about your text or data plan, it's best to contact your wireless provider.

Privacy Policy:

1. Your contact information will not be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes.


2. Information sharing is permitted for purposes of troubleshooting, testing, fixing problems, adding new features, or user support.


3. All other use case categories exclude email or text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
